INDUSTRY UPDATE & TALK ON ELECTRIC PROPULSION AND LITHIUM BATTERIES: MYTH AND MISINFORMATION

We would like to welcome HKBIA members to join the HKBIA Industry Update and Simon Boyde's talk on Electric Propulsion and Lithium Batteries: Myth and Misinformation. Drinks and Canapes will be served.

BACKGROUND

Since leaving Hong Kong, Simon Boyde has expanded his specialist knowledge in the marine electrical field, working as a naval architect and later in standards compliance. He is now Head of Training and Compliance for ePropulsion.

Simon represents British Marine (and ePropulsion) on the main ISO committees charged with revising the international boat electrical standards: ISO 13297, 16315 and 23625. He also has sat on the BM Small Commercial Vessel Code advisory committee. Simon holds the BMET (British Marine Electrical Technician) and ABYC Certified Marine Electrician qualifications, as well as the City and Guilds BS 7671 Electrical Standards 18th Edition qualifications and will be happy to take questions on marine electrical standards and best practice and how this field is evolving.
